Longtime Street Fighter Producer Yoshinori Ono announced he was leaving the company shortly thereafter, which could lend some credence to the rumors that things weren't proceeding smoothly behind the scenes.Ĭapcom was hit by a terrible hack in 2020 too, which leaked out a number of games the developer reportedly has in the works, including Street Fighter 6. One alleged leaker said last year that the next flagship fighting game for Capcom was originally planned for a 2021 release before getting pushed back due to poor reception from testers and development issues. With how many different games and programs are included, like the Dolphin emulator for the Nintendo GameCube and Wii, the listings could have been made for testing or placeholder purposes for Nvidia's streaming service.Įverything found in the long list of names should be taken with the healthiest grain of salt imaginable, but this is also not the first time we've heard about Street Fighter 6 being in the works. While these database entries are apparently publicly viewable with a little digging, they are certainly not direct confirmation of a game's existence. The final in the unannounced trio of fighters is actually Tekken 8 from Bandai Namco. What's extra interesting about that entry though is it also includes the subtitle 'Gods Will Fall,' which seemingly matches up with with the first game in the series 'Gods Among Us.' Injustice 3 is also listed for Warner Bros. On the Capcom side of the data-mine, Street Fighter 6 actually appears alongside other rumored games from the studio like Dragon's Dogma 2. Among those uncovered are listings for major unannounced fighting games from the likes of Capcom, NetherRealm Studios and Bandai Namco. ![]()
